One of the most important aspects of being a working content creator, is maintaining your social media in a professional persona online. There are a lot of different way someone could go around doing this, but in this blog I want to focus on mine. As a student, a lot of big time clients don’t take me seriously when I ask for paid work, however I try and assure them I can create the high quality work that they want. I have all my personal accounts on private, however I obviously have all of my photography accounts open for anyone to see to be able to reach the maximum amount of people.
I am yet to print of business cards, but I have come up with some designs, I will post these below.

I like the idea of having all the information one side, with a full image on the other. I would want to keep the text side the same, stating me name, profession, webiste, email and number to give whoever I hand them to a easy way to contact me. My main three areas of photography are live music, portraits and landscape, so having three different designs which corresponds with each one of these themes could hope reach my work to the right people. For example, I give out the live music cards at gigs, while if I am out taking portraits of strangers, I could use that card for them.
There is a lot of design elements involved in creating a business card; logo, font, colour scheme, and it is important that I keep these consistent across all of my social media. I do not have a logo for my branding, but I do have a simple favicon - bk in a grey square. Across all of my online sites, I have a colour scheme of white and grey back ground, with black writing in Europa.
I have been emailing clients regularly for over a year now, mainly live music promotors, band managers and venues. I found when changed my online persona from an aspiring photographer to a professional one, I had more positive feedback and many more replies. I now email clients showing them my best work, I sign of every email with my number and email address and most importantly, my new domain looks much more professional.
Hello!
My name is Bailey, I am videographer / photographer in my second year of studies at Bath Spa University, UK. I have been shooting live music for over two years now, and I am just emailing you today to let you know I am available for hire when The Kaiser Chiefs plays Bath in January. I have a 12 hour turn around on all content after the show, and have no problem travelling to meet you at any shows. I will leave my social media links and website below.
Any reply is really appreciated,
